Engine light comes on. Fan runs constantly
stalled once. Lacks power. changed thermostat,
sensor 10884 and 12A648 are replaced. These are the water temperature sensors.
Fuel cutout light comes on but reset button does not need to be reset. gas filter is new, all fluids are ok.My car will start and drive fine, after about 15 minutes it die like someone just shut it off and it will not start back up...... but if you wait about 3 hours it will start on the first crank and you can drive it for about 15 minutes again.just recently i changed my alternator, my fuel cut-out light stays on all the time. Also two days ago my check engine light comes on randomly even with the engine light on or off. but when i accelerate the engine boggs down and dosen't want to go anywhere. when i punch it, it will bogg down for 15 seconds and then the revs will pick up then it will go. why does this happen and what can i do to fix it?The right turn signal does not light-up on the dash, or on the vehicle when turn signal is turned on. The left side works fine. I've changed all the bulbs on the outside of the car and condition still exists. Should I change the bulb in the dash, which will require removing the steering wheel, or might it be something else.My headlights will not turn on. They flip up, but i get no light. L other lights on the car work fine. All fuses are good.97 or 98 Ford Probe. Car will start on first start of the day. Will not start unless you wait approximaely one half hour to an hour. Distributor cap was changed in the fall and seemed to be ok for the winter. Now that the weather is warmer, car is not starting again unless you wait for a certain amount of time. We just change the distributor cap again, but car is still doing the same thing. Ford dealers can't seem to find the problem.1993 Ford probe, 4cyl. Ingition coil is intagrated with the Distributor. The dist is a year old only. First the car started stalling at stops, now it wont start at all. rotor spins, new plugs, new wires, no spark but it cranks. have checked all wires and fuses, nothing bad. any suggestions before i spend another 400 on a distributor?I have a 1993 Probe GT 5-speed manual. I was driving home from the gas station the other day, and the car began to stall when given a lot of gas. This continued for 2 miles until I was a block away from my house. The car died. The fuel cut-off light came on. The car tries to turn over when starting, but doesn't. After taken to a shop, the distributer is not putting out fire to the spark plugs. The distributor was replaced and the computer was replaced, the car is still not starting. The timing belt was also checked. Is it time for a new car??? Checked the diagnostic and it gave me code 69. I changed 10884 and 12A648 water temp sensors and that hasn't done it. I'm thinking cooling fan relay. As I have already spent $70 for sensors I need to be sure.
ThanksMy car stalls while driving - usually 10 or 15 minutes into the drive, about 70% of the time. When driving the same route, it frequently stalls at roughly the same distance, but not always. Doesn't matter what speed or I can be stopped at a light (however, I've been avoiding driving anywhere over 60 km). Stalls once, can sometimes restart while still in motion, but now have to pull over and restart. Was only happening once per trip, but in the last two days it stalls two or three times in a row within a minute of each stall. Sometimes it idles rough, too. My mechanic has done three diagnostics and there are no codes coming up and he is totally baffled. Replaced the battery as it was showing low voltage, but did not fix the problem. However, it did stop occasional whining I was from the alternator belt when starting up, so I don't know if it's related to the stalling problem. Can you give me any clues what to look at?Car is leaning down and to the left. A mechanic said that it is a bad front left strut mount. Is this true?my 94 probe, had a blown head gasket it. I bought this car off some man who replaced the head gasket but didnt put the rest of the car back together. It sat for about 2 years, i put it back together. I can get the car started but i have to give it alot of gas and just keep giving it gas until it starts. When i get it started i let it rev up and it doesnt idle it just dies out on me. I put a new fuel filter new spark plugs and wires on it and it still does it. I give it alot of gas get it started and it dies again. One time i got it started and it did idle then i killed it and had a hard time trying to get the car started again. I did do the timing belt on it myself is it a timing problem? It ran smooth the one time that i did get the car to idle. THXCar's been running fine up until today. Recently replaced all the plugs and wires for NEW ones replacing the originals. This morning car started in the garage and as I was pulling out and quit before the car got 1/2 way out of the garage. Tried to restart and it will not turn over. It tries and tries and tries and will not catch. Full tank of gas. Previous days started fine. Opened hood, noticed caroded battery cable and cleaned with baking soda and water. No clue why it won't start. Fuel filter? Appreciate any help. JulieMy blower doesnít come on, I check the fuse and their fine, I pulled the blower out and hook it up to the battery and it ran fine. I have one of those electrical climate controls (when the fan speed switch is not number and it has button for the A/C, defroster, and all the other function are push button). Itís a LX model if that helps (I want to say it an automatic Climate Control?). Mechanic cleaned throttle body. Ended up replacing fuel pump. Now I hear a rattle upon acceleration (metal to metal like something is loose). Under the hood I revved the engine. The sounds appears to be coming from the throttle body/uel injector area.Engine has 80K miles on it. Makes tapping noise when cold, but the sound goes away after about 10 minutes. Recently though, tapping can still be heard very slightly. Don't think it is a valve-tap. Could it be a cracked manifold or manifold studs? Thanks.my probe seems to be stuck in the manual shift position. after start up, the manual shift light blinks on the dash and no matter what i try, i can't get it into any gear.it seems to be stuck in neutral.1994 ford probe se 5speed, engine turning but will not start, did timing, change plugwires, plugs cap, rotor brush getting good spark, checked fuel pump good, can the computer go bad, if so can the same from a automatic work.I have been having trouble starting the car from a cold start. It'll turn over well but not fire. I've been able to get it to fire by trying to start it & then letting it sit for 3 to 5 minutes. Try it again, and it'll fire up with no problem. When warm the car idles irradically . some times it goes up to 2, 000 rpm then back to normal rpm.
It also has a slight hesitation when driving, if I back off the gas and then press down to accelerate. Its not a gear slip.The Probe starts up good but shuts down after about ten seconds. I have replaced fuel pump & filter, checked the shutoff and its okay. All new spark plugs, wires, distributor, coil and rotor. Had the Ignition modular tested and it's okay. My Probe is a non turbo.No rear tail lights at night only head lights
